I’m licensed in two provinces, how does invoicing work?

If you’re licenced in two provinces, for example, in both ON and BC, we are required to follow each of the provincial tax requirements. This is one of the main reasons why we create two separate invoices for physicians who are certified to see patients in multiple provinces.

  • For Ontario, the overhead charged on insured and cash appointments is 25%. The Ontario tax rate is 13% HST.
  • For British Columbia, the overhead charged on insured appointments is 15% and 25% for cash services. The British Columbia tax rate is 12% (5% GST + 7% PST)

Rest assured, you will only be charged a single platform fee (meaning you will not have a platform fee charged on both invoices for each province).
