Starship: How to Look Up Your Patients

Updated: December 5th, 2025

There are three ways to find a patient in Starship, depending on when you saw them and what information you have.

Find a Patient Through the Portal (Date-Based)

  • If you know the date of the encounter:
  • Go to Portal Tab in the left menu.
  • Change the date at the top to the day you saw the patient.
  • All patients seen on that date will appear in the list
  • Click the patient’s name to open their chart

You can also filter by:

  • Location
  • All patients / Pending / Successfully processed

Find a Patient Through the Calendar

If you want to review a patient from a specific clinic day:

  • Open the Calendar tab.
  • Navigate to the date of the original appointment.
  • Click the patient’s appointment to open their chart.

This matches the same workflow you used during the visit.

Find a Patient Through the My Patients Tab

If you don't know the encounter date, you can use the My Patients tab:

Search patients based on:

  • Patient name
  • Date of birth
  • Patient record number

This will pull up the patient so you can access their chart.
