LFP Time Codes Update
The Ministry of Health and MSP have changed how LFP patient care time codes must be submitted. As of Monday February 23 2026, time codes must be submitted under a dummy patient (see the link for details from the MoH).
To streamline this change, our engineering team modified Starship so that starting on Feb 23, any billings submitted with LFP patient care time codes will internally use dummy patient information when sent to ClinicAid.
What this means for physicians: no change to the billing process! Continue to submit LFP time-codes under the first LFP patient seen that day. The codes that will be automatically substituted to the dummy patient are below:
Locum LFP physicians
- 98040 - Direct Patient Care
- 98041 - Indirect Patient Care
- 98042 - Clinical Administration
Panelling LFP Physician (Dr. Bo-Shiun Lai only currently)
- 98010 - Direct Patient Care
- 98011 - Indirect Patient Care
- 98012 - Clinical Administration

When billing submissions in ClinicAid is reviewed, you will see your LFP patient care time codes under the dummy patient.
