How to Bill with ResolvMD in Alberta on Rocket Doctor

Please note: In order to use our platform's billing integration to submit claims, you must first register with ResolvMD and obtain a Billing Arrangement (BA) number. The billing feature will not be available in your account without this.

This new billing feature in Alberta will allow physicians practicing in Alberta to submit claims directly in the Provider Portal. For each appointment that’s scheduled in Alberta, a “New Billing” button will become available for you to select, complete the relevant information, and create a claim.

Please follow the instructions below to properly set up your Starship account.

• To make sure your account is set up properly, please make sure you have filled out all the necessary fields on the Settings page before continuing.

• To start billing, go to the MD Portal page, find your appointment, and click on "New Billing." If you have a BA number from ResolvMD but haven't set up your Starship account yet, the "New Billing" button will be greyed out.

• [OPTIONAL] When you see the New Claim pop-up, simply fill in the referring physician's information at the top of the window. If the referral came from a provider within Rocket Doctor, you can search for them by name or Practitioner ID.

• Fill out Service, Diagnostic, or Modifier Codes by searching for the code or the description. You may add up to three Diagnostic and Modifier codes for each claim.

• Click the Add Claim button to add the claim to your submission.

• To submit your claim, simply press the “Create Claim” button located at the bottom right corner. The system will generate and send the claim(s) to ResolvMD in just 2 to 4 seconds.

• If the submission is successful, a green banner will appear at the top of the page.
