How to Order MRI and CT Scan Requisitions

If you need to order an MRI or CT scan for a patient, follow these steps to ensure the requisition is processed efficiently. Our Clinical Support Team is here to assist with preparing and sending the required documents.

Step-by-Step Ordering Process

  1. Create a Note with Requisition Details
    Begin by creating a note with all relevant details for the MRI or CT scan requisition, including the specific test, clinical indication, and any additional specifications (e.g., with or without contrast).
  2. Fax the Note to Clinical Support or Email Clinical Support
    Once the note is prepared, fax it to our Clinical Support Team (647-696-5553 or choose Physician Assistant on the Select by RD Provider section on the portal). You can also send an email to clinicalsupport@rocketdoctor.io. In the email, provide:
    • The clinical indication for the MRI or CT scan
    • Details of the specific test required (e.g., with or without contrast)
  3. Requisition Preparation and Review
    Our Clinical Support Team will locate and generate the required requisition based on the information you provided. Once the requisition is ready:
    • For Non-Ontario MDs, the requisition will be sent back to you for review and your signature.
    • For Ontario MDs, a Physician Assistant (PA) is authorized to sign on your behalf, so no additional action is needed from you.
