Guide to Setting Up Lab Result Routing for Rocket Doctor

We understand the importance of receiving laboratory and imaging results directly to your e-fax number. To facilitate this, we have created a step-by-step guide to help you set up your account with common labs in New Brunswick.

Result Routing in New Brunswick
In New Brunswick, labs route results based on the provider’s CPSNB licence number (not billing number as in Ontario/BC). If your licence number is incorrect or missing, results may fail to route or default to mail.

Important Notes

  • All faxes will be sent from Starship
  • Your RD Fax Number
  • STAT / Urgent Results: Laboratories are expected to phone urgent results. Ensure your direct phone number is accurate in your Starship profile.
  • Requisitions: Your Starship profile automatically populates your full name, CPSNB licence number, RD fax number, and direct phone onto requisitions. Review your profile regularly to confirm accuracy.

Address Requirement

Rocket Doctor is not a clinic, and its corporate address must not be used for lab setup. Instead, if you do not have an alternate clinical address, consider using a mail-forwarding service or a PO Box. Avoid using software platform addresses (e.g., OSCAR, Telus PSS, Accuro) as your clinic address.
